What do I need to bring on the day?

Players should wear old, comfortable clothing and may also want to bring a change of clothes for the conclusion of the game. The most suitable footwear would be boots with strong ankle support. Paintball gloves are available to buy at the centre, or you can bring your own. You may also want to bring some money for purchasing additional paintballs.

Can I bring my own paintball equipment?

You can bring your own equipment to the centre, but it is always at the discretion of the Centre Manager whether you can use it. You can bring your own goggles, provided they are designed for paintball games and have not been modified in any way. You can bring your own gun, but it is subject to a chronograph test and must be cleared by the Centre Manager. Also your own gun can only be used for pre-booked private games. We do NOT allow any customers' own gas cylinders on site for ANY REASON.

Can I bring my own paintballs?

For health and safety reasons, and to maintain a consistent safety standard across all centres, you can only use paintballs issued by Thunder Ridge Paintball on the day of your event. Think of it from another player's perspective: We ensure our paintballs are of the right consistency to burst with as little effort as possible. Youth Group Paintball Events at Thunder Ridge

How many paintballs will I need?

There is no way of knowing how many paintballs you will use, as it depends on how trigger happy you are. It is entirely up to each person how many paintballs they want to use. You can purchase paintballs at the centre throughout the day, during the breaks between games.

Parents need to know about the nature of the activity and decide for themselves whether their particular child is hardy, and mature enough to participate in paintball. For more information, please see the FAQ concerning the minimum age below.

What is the minimum age?

Thunder Ridge Paintball has set its minimum playing age to be 10 years old.

What food and drink is available at the centre?

There is a light lunch noodle snack available for £2.49 each at the centre, or alternatively you can purchase a pizza lunch (Pepperoni or Margherita options available) for £4.99 each if you order before 11:00am on the day of your event.

Can we bring alcohol to the centre?

What happens on the day?

On arrival, you will be greeted by our friendly staff who will check you in. After you have filled out registration forms you will be kitted up with all the gear needed for the day and undergo a compulsory safety briefing. Then the action starts! You will play 10-12 varied games during a full day session, with short refreshment breaks in between to reload your paintballs and discuss tactics!

Do I need to fill out a registration form?

All players are required to complete a registration form before they begin play. Players under 16 years must have their form signed by an adult; we suggest you send these out with your invitations. The other parents should return their completed registration forms for you to bring to the paintball centre on the day of the event.

How many players do I need to bring?

There is no minimum or maximum number of required players; any group size is fine. However there may be a minimum number of players required to open the site if no other groups are booked in for the time and day you request.

Will my child be playing with adults?

Where possible we will join your group with a group of similar age. However, there are often groups of mixed ages (when parents like to play with their children, or there are older siblings joining in etc).
